Aaron McCutchan
Design Automation & Visualization Engineer
I'm a design automation engineer currently tasked with creating tools to streamline design processes within CAD softwares. My background is a blend of electrical engineering, computer science, and meteorology. I joined Sigma in early 2024 following graduation from the University of Utah with an MS in Atmospheric Sciences. Prior to joining Sigma, I worked within several academic units and government agencies combining scientific expertise with engineering know-how to create products for decision makers that simplify large datasets related to high impact weather. My comfort zone is the unknown, and I enjoy diving deep into the physics of a problem to find data-driven solutions. In my free time, I can often be found bouldering or hiking to the next viewpoint to paint near my home in Seattle.
