Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

Some of my favorite moments with colleagues have been exchanging funny stories about things that happened at or outside of work and just laughing together. The best meetings seem to start and end that way. I also love a good dad joke or a well-timed gif in Teams chat.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

While it might not be a tool typically used in a lab or factory, I would have to say a mirror. I strive to be observant, to listen, and to pay close attention to those around me. I feel that I often have a deep understanding of people's behavior and motivations. I am known for being honest yet empathetic, and I strive to remain neutral and self-aware even in challenging situations. Most of all, I hope to inspire growth and self-reflection in others, encouraging my team and peers to see themselves in new ways.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

For me, success and efficiency in my role are dependent on effective communication. Something that is paramount to my efficiency is maintaining a very clean, organized email inbox at all times, as well as being available and responsive via phone and Teams. I also rely heavily on a living to-do list. I review it every morning, update it as the day goes on, and review it once more before signing off in the evening, all the while sending out updates and closing the loop with the appropriate contacts in real time.
