Ben Reeve

Process Engineer

I have been doing Process and Manufacturing Engineering work with Sigma Design since 2015. I have designed manufacturing line layouts, test processes, assembly fixtures and more as well as training and coordinating teams of assembly technicians. I enjoy coming up with ways to maximize assembly ease and efficiency in large projects. I hope to design technology that improves the life of people everywhere!

Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

There are times to lock in and there are times to lighten up. It is important to relax a bit when possible so that everyone is fresh when critical times arrive. I try to lead by example and keep things casual now and then, when there's a chance to take a breath. It helps to be a natural goofball.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

I would be a 3D printer - able to quickly come up with and try out all sorts of solutions to any given problem.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

Switching between different tasks when there are many things to do may be counterintuitive, but avoiding fixation on any one item for too long keeps the brain interested and helps prevent burnout, leading to greater productivity in the long run. Don't forget to take care of yourself!
