Lindsey Dotson

President/CEO

“As the President and CEO at Sigma Design, I’m committed to leading the company with “no regrets.” This means being fully committed to the direction the company will take and the intentional choices that influence its strategic direction.”

My leadership approach is centered on investing in our team's growth and well-being. By investing in our employees, we not only enhance individual skills but also cultivate a collective courage that empowers each team member to contribute their best to the company’s success. In my 21 years of experience, I have directed cross-discipline engineering teams, and I understand the importance of a cohesive and collaborative team approach. Success is not an individual endeavor but a collective effort.

Collective courage is about embracing innovation and taking calculated risks. It’s about empowering team members to voice their ideas and contribute to the decision-making process. This approach not only cultivates a dynamic and agile work environment but also positions us to navigate industry changes with resilience.

As we move forward, my commitment remains steadfast—to lead Sigma Design with a focus on the big picture, to invest in our greatest asset, our employees, fostering collective courage, and adhere to a team approach to success. It is this approach that ensures our decisions are not just good for today but leave a lasting positive impact on our future endeavors.

Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

Combination of quick witty responses and funny stories often making light of human experiences especially my own personal stories. Life is too short to not laugh about all the things we’ve done or that have been done to us as humans.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

That’s easy, a multi-tool! I always travel with a multi tool, no matter where I am in the world, I’ve always found the need to fix something from a busted toenail after climbing a mountain to fixing a broken toy to avoid a toddler meltdown. I love that it fits in my pocket, is human powered and can always be relied on to solve a variety of problems.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

After returning from vacation, I delete all emails in my Inbox. You can spend days trying to catch up all the while getting further behind. Plus most issues will have already been addressed; if it’s important enough they will find you.
