As VP of Engineering, I thrive on building teams to turn ideas into exceptional solutions for our customers. I’m lucky to work with a group of smart, motivated professionals that are driven to innovate.

With over 20 years at Sigma Design, I have an expansive understanding of the product design and engineering landscape. I’ve held a variety of roles at Sigma Design, that have given me an appreciation for the dynamic teams and processes it takes to continue to deliver great solutions for our clients. In addition, I have enjoyed building relationships with industry professionals that continue to evolve and expand our opportunities.

Cooperation lies at the heart of my approach, as I firmly believe in fostering strong relationships within the team and with our customer counterparts to ensure seamless execution and exceptional outcomes. By championing a culture of creativity, curiosity, and continuous improvement, we will continue to tackle complex engineering challenges.

My background is Mechanical Engineering and in my work experience has provided the opportunity to engage with hundreds of clients on thousands of projects. That diversity of work is what attracted me to Sigma Design in the first place and it remains to be one of the most interesting aspects of my work. As I've moved from position to position at Sigma Design, my focus has always been to help our customers succeed by doing good work.

Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

I usually default to crude humor to make people laugh. Though, as I’ve gotten older (maybe wiser), I find that I can often quickly relate two things in a way that makes people laugh.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

I’d choose to be a tractor. Tractors are infinitely useful and capable of solving many different types of problems. They also have a huge array of attachments, which would prevent me from becoming bored with one type of activity – when I tire of cutting brush, I could put on the backhoe and dig some holes. The possibilities are truly limitless.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

Other than driving too fast, my favorite way of saving time is to establish a routine for various daily tasks, such that I can go on auto pilot to complete them, and they are no longer a distraction to more important activities on my to do list.
