Seléne Connolly

Director of Project Management

As the Director of Project Management, I support a team of experienced Project Managers with a diverse technical background. I have the privilege to work across Sigma Design to serve our customers and the internal teams delivering solutions to meet challenges, big and small. Every day is an opportunity to engage in creative discussions and generating ideas to support customer-driven value, while building strong and empowered project teams that learn and grow.

My background is diverse and spans technical leadership in HW, FW, SW development, business leadership across a global operation, and 20+ years of project management on varying project types, sizes, and industries. I love to plan and get stuff done, whether at work or home. I value and act with transparency and help guide the way to data-driven decisions. At Sigma Design, I am able to bring my strengths and experiences to the table each day and do good work.

Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

I enjoy games and activities that tap into the lighter side of our lives and help everyone find a way to contribute. I'm not big on keeping score as much as "did we enjoy it and have fun". I am very willing to share my experiences and laugh at my own actions when I make mistakes or just have crazy stuff happen that you can't make up (just ask me about Ninja blender blends).

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

I would be a tractor with a bucket and other cool attachments. As a tractor I can remove obstacles. level the playing field, fill in holes and gaps, and help move things around. If needed I can push, or pull, and can help carry heavy loads. I could help make what others do more effortlessly accomplished.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

Sticky Notes. I use physical ones for personal projects and planning all the time. My refrigerator often acts as my project planning tool. I use digital versions for work and collaboration. A coworker once jokingly said, "3-M should hire you as their spokesperson, you find more uses for Sticky Notes than anyone I know." It is true. I love little ones, big poster sized ones, lined ones, and fun shaped ones.
